Financial Literacy & Skills: Objectives
Course Objective
The course is intended for all managers of businesses or non-profit organisations and
business owners. It is designed to give participants a complete understanding of all basic
accounting procedures to run a profitable business.
Learning Objectives
By the end of the course participant's will: -
- Understand the role of accounting in their businesses.
- Know the essential elements of business.
- Understand the basic principles of accounting used in Book-keeping, Reporting, Analysis & Planning.
- Have clear distinctions of the roles of Management and Accountant
- Understand accrual accounting
- Understand Profit & Loss A/C, Balance Sheet & Cash Flow
- Know how to read, analyse and and interpret Financial Statements
- Have clear distinctions between Profit, Growth and Cash
- Know how to prepare Budget

Fees
- New Zealand: NZ$5000 (net of withholding tax) a day plus expenses and cost of manuals
- Outside New Zealand: USD$5000 (net of withholding tax) a day plus expenses and cost of manuals
