Essential Finance & Accounting Knowledge and Skills: Objectives
Course Objective
The course is designed to give participants a complete understanding of all basic financial
& accounting policies and procedures to provide them with financial literacy,
intelligence and skills to manage a profitable and financially efficient organisation with a
successful cashflow and sustainable growth.
Learning Objectives
By the end of the course participant's will: -
- Know the 3 most essential elements of business and their interaction
- Have clear distinctions between Profit, Growth and Cash
- Have clear distinctions of the roles of Management and Accountant
- Understand accrual accounting, and know the difference between Profit & Cash
- Have the basic skills of cash management
- Know how to increase cash flow in their business.
- Understand Profit & Loss A/C, Balance Sheet & Cash Flow
- Know how to read, analyse and interpret Financial Statements
- Know how to prepare a budget
- Understand the nature and behaviour of costs.
- Be able to evaluate the profitability of an offer
- Have clear distinction between costing and pricing
- Understand the relationship of cost, price, volume and profit.
- Be able to make sound Capital Investment Decisions.

Fees
- New Zealand: NZ$5000 (net of withholding tax) a day plus expenses and cost of manuals
- Outside New Zealand: USD$5000 (net of withholding tax) a day plus expenses and cost of manuals
